These things are happening in places along Vhunjere Dewende Road in Gutu. Also in Magombedze, Munjanganja, Ranga, Mutambara and Tirizi. Some of these cases have been reported to the police but the problem is that the police collect the youths with their trucks and take them away but do nothing about the people who are actually sending the youths out on these attacks.
Bus stops are even being guarded by these youths so that no one will board a bus and be able to report these cases.
When the youths attack a house, they beat the parents first; ask for Zanu-PF cards, MDC cards, identity cards, passports and any document that has names and an ID number. They then collect all these documents and go away with them. The children are threatened, asked if they are MDC supporters and all sorts of other foolish questions.
Here is a list of the people who are doing these things: H. Nyandoro, the Ward 12 Councillor and headmaster of Vhunjere Primary School; S. Jokwe, a headmaster at Dewende Primary School; M. Musina a traditional chief; R Shambira Hungwe, a farmer at Wecherai Chidoma Farm; A Mamombe, a farmer; E Ruwocha Mutambnara, Mr. Murwisi, Mrs. Jokwe, Mrs. Masimba, H Bhaudi and Mr. Mudzingwa of Mutambura Village near Mutambura School.
